Maybe this is your first day of the new school year, like our own Shawn Tkach, going back to Champlain College. First day of Kindergarten for your child and you (mom & dad) are a hot mess Or First day of a new job, like our new Lunch Hour BFF Gail! I started my first day last Monday, by co-hosting the AM Show with Shawn and a new position at a local medical organization and I get it! This is transition season!
Whether school or work or just regular life, new starts are full of promise and nerves!
What if I can’t find my locker, what if my co-workers don’t like me, where is the lunchroom or will the morning show listeners like the addition. What if my tiny 5 year-old takes the wrong bus… now we’re getting real! Everybody wants to be secure, loved and accepted, liked and acknowledged. So this is big stuff!
Philippians 4:6 New Living Translation (NLT)
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Look friends, God has us in His hands! He loves us, offers peace and protection. That really can help with perspective when so many things fly around in our head about all the things that can go wrong!
Fresh starts invite us to do new things, meet new people, make a difference!
It’s gonna be a great year! And hey at least you didn’t lose your car keys and fly into the studio with 1 minute before going on air! You Have This!
